Skokie -- June 6th Event of the Season: A Classic Picnic at a Classic Mansion.

Who doesn’t love a good mansion, Hot Doug’s sausage, and Two Brothers beer

Join us June 6th for what promises to be the most unique event of the season — a cool, classic picnic benefiting Daniel Biss for State Representative. The picnic will be hosted by legendary restaurateur Doug Sohn at the turn-of-the-century mansion of Dr. David Teplica & Mr. Kalev Peekna, and guests may purchase tickets to an optional recital by world-renowned pianist Jonathan Biss (yes, brother to Daniel).

Immediately before the picnic, a limited number of tickets are available to a VIP Reception, followed by a classical recital by world-renowned pianist Jonathan Biss at 5:30 p.m. The picnic itself revs up at 6 p.m. Tickets are limited. Every ticket paid in advance gets a photo with Hot Doug, the infamous Hot Dogger Character, and guest — advance pay only.

Picnic! Guests receive two succulent Hot Doug’s sausages, Two Brothers beer, and a make-your-own toppings bar, all for only $100. A package of 10 picnic tickets is available for $900. Event starts at 6 p.m. Kids and students get a sausage and free soda (no beer) for just $50. Hurry, as a limited amount of tickets is available. A private recital by Jonathan Biss precedes the picnic for those who contribute $250. After experiencing this unique musical performance, guests will join the picnic for great sausages and beer. Jonathan Biss is a third-generation professional musician whose lineage includes his grandmother Raya Garbousova and his parents Miriam Fried and Paul Biss. Jonathan won Lincoln Center's Martin E. Segal Award, Wolf Trap's Shouse Debut Artist Award, and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award, among others. He has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
